Spring Lake, NJ — Dr. Peter Ciampi, a dentist in New Jersey, recently returned to his practice after having visited the Dominican Republic on an eco-tourism trip to provide school supplies and aid to the underserved. Working with the Paradisus Palma Real Department of Sustainable Development, Dr. Ciampi donated a vast assortment of educational supplies to a school in Bavaro. He says he is honored to have been given the opportunity to meet such a welcoming and compassionate community, and hopes his donations work to improve the lives of those who are less fortunate.
The program functioned under the direction of the Manager of Sustainable Development at Paradisus in Bavaro, Dominican Republic and was designed to help give people a better chance for the future through educational resources. Dr. Ciampi says the experience was unforgettable and he is looking forward to further opportunities to serve his community as well as others across the world. Also participating in Remote Area Medical (RAM) to provide dental and medical care to underserved residents of Knox County, Tennessee, he says giving back is an essential duty of his role as a dentist: “It is important to me to help people, especially children, with their oral health who otherwise could not afford or gain access to health care due to the situations they find themselves in.”
At his New Jersey cosmetic dentistry practice, Dr. Ciampi has been serving his local community for over 20 years in a number of general and aesthetic procedures ranging from oral cancer screenings to routine cleanings. By donating his expertise to a variety of dental and humanitarian causes, he says he is able to help people across the globe with financial contributions and vital dental care. Dr. Ciampi says he has been privileged to contribute to so many worthy opportunities and looks forward to his next journeys with RAM and other volunteer organizations
Whether he is providing patients in Tennessee with necessary root canals or his local community with porcelain veneers, Dr. Ciampi says he finds joy and purpose in being able to help others regain confidence and a higher quality of life. He says he is committed to offering the highest quality services and dedicating himself to bettering the lives of his patients in every way possible: “Not only are we dedicated to helping the less fortunate with their oral health, but also with improving their self-esteem.”
